GPA Comparison Between On-Campus Residents and Off-Campus Residents

The semester cumulative grade point average was obtained for all freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior students living in the residence halls and living off campus. Residence hall students obtained a higher cumulative grade point average in all four class groups when compared to their off-campus counterparts.

The differences between the residence hall students and off-campus students are particularly noteworthy at the freshman and sophomore levels and remain consistent with data from the past twenty-five years. Students living on campus can take advantage of academic resources available in the halls including quiet hours, study rooms, and tutoring.
