In our ongoing mission to provide housing that meets the diverse needs and interests of ALL students, we are proud to offer Gender Inclusive Housing (formerly known as All-Gender & Open Housing) in designated spaces across campus. Gender Inclusive Housing provides students with a community where roommates and/or suitemates of any gender can live together in a more integrated and inclusive environment.
These housing options are designed to support students who may face barriers in traditional binary gendered living experiences, including transgender, LGBTQIA+, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming students. Students across all identities are eligible to participate in our gender inclusive housing process, including allies to the LGBTQIA+ community and students who do not want gender to be a primary factor in choosing a roommate. Participation in Gender Inclusive Housing is entirely voluntary, and students must agree to the Community Guidelines to participate.
Gender Inclusive Housing exists in designated areas within the following halls:
- Braiden Hall (as part of Key Communities)
- Laurel Village-Alpine Hall
- Laurel Village-Piñon Hall (as part of the Amplify Learning Community)
- Summit Hall
- Westfall Hall
