Cooking is the leading cause of fires in the nation and at CSU. Use of cooking appliances in residence hall rooms is prohibited due to units being a fire hazard.
If student has dietary/allergy restrictions or cultural reasons for needing specific cooking devices, accommodations can be sought by working with Housing, Safety, and SDC.
BBQ/ Camping Cooking Equipment
Charcoal, Propane, Grills, Lighter Fluid, Torches
Flammable liquids, hazardous materials, and items that generate an open flame are prohibited from being stored or used in residence hall rooms.
Store in car or off campus.
