Temp Moving Assistance Terms and Conditions

You will be contacted by Housing & Dining Services to confirm your request at least one day prior to your requested move date. Staff will confirm your requested move date or identify an alternative day and time.

Moving assistance is available Monday through Friday from 8am to 3pm.

All students requesting moving assistance agree and must abide by the following:

  1. Check in at the desk of your new assignment before your scheduled move.
  2. Notify your new roommate when you will be moving in.
  3. You must be present during any moving assistance by HDS staff or contracted service provider and verify possessions to be moved.
  4. You are responsible for providing moving crew access to both Temp Housing room and Permanent room assignment for the purpose of moving belongings.
  5. You are encouraged to move electronics and any breakable or valuable items yourself
  6. You acknowledge though care will be taken with all belongings, there is some risk that items may be damaged while being moved. You agree Housing & Dining Services is not responsible for any damaged items during the move, as detailed in clause #13 (Liability for Personal Possessions) in your residence hall contract.
  7. You may pick up boxes and tape at the front desk of your building
  8. All items must be securely packed and labeled with Last name and permanent housing assignment building and room number.
  9. You must be packed and ready to move at your scheduled time.
  10. You are responsible for unpacking your belongings.
  11. If you brought a bicycle, don’t forget to move it.
