With 400 first-year and upper-division students from all different majors, Newsom features community-style double rooms (residents in each corridor share a community bathroom). On the south-side of campus, Newsom boasts a large event center with programming and events throughout the year. 100% of the hall is available for general assignments.
We make every effort to provide living spaces that meet the needs of our diverse residential population. Please reach out to us via email if you have specific questions about the accommodations process, gender inclusive housing, Residential Learning Communities, and more.

Bicycling is a sustainable, easy, and affordable way to get around campus! CSU is a designated “Platinum Bicycle Friendly University” with convenient trails, bike lanes, rack space, and a fully functional bike shop known as The Spoke.
Your RamCard doubles as your bus pass. Ride any Transfort route in the city, via bus, MAX, or FLEX. FLEX is a regional bus with direct stops to and from Loveland, Longmont, and Boulder. Another service, Bustang (no discounts are associated with your Ramcard), provides service to Denver, Colorado Springs, and the I-70 mountain corridor.
An affordable, sustainable alternative to bringing a personal car and purchasing a parking permit. CSU has four ZipCar rental locations on campus and student membership starts at $15.
Parking on campus is limited and permits are required year-round. Parking permits are available for purchase through Parking & Transportation Services.
